This set of photos was taken on a fall trip aboard the Steamer St. Marys Challenger. The first three photos are of an unidentified tugboat at the foot of the EJ&E Bridge. I do remember it being owned by Calumet River Fleeting. The next five photos are of the Gillen Tug Edward E. Gillen (III) outbound the Calumet River. The next seven photos are of the Joseph L. Bloack loading coal at Rail to Water (KCBX). These twi sunset shots are of the American Spirt upbound on Lake Michigan. Also Included are two shots of the Miss K docked on the Kinnickinnic River. The last six photos are of the Lenoa B. leaving the Greenfield Ave. coal dock heading up river.














































A trip to Milwaukee in early September was highlighted by the Kaye E. Barker arriving at Milwaukee on a very windy and wicked day. The Kaye droped off a load of stone in the inner harbor. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. September 5, 2011.





































This set of photos was highlighted by John G. Munson loading coal at Rail to Water (KCBX) on a early moring in late Augest. Also in the  was the Algoma Navigator docked at Iroquois Landing Lakefront Terminals. Also on the River was the Calumet River Fleeting Tug Bonnie G. Selvick and Tug Kimberly Selvick. This set of photos was highlighted by Carferry Badger departing Manitowoc for a routine trip to Ludington. Also in this set is the St. Marys Conquest-Prentiss Brown inbound Manitowoc with a load of cement to take up river to the St. Marys Cement Terminal. Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Augest 29, 2011.























































This set of photos is a summer trip to Sault Ste. Marie, in late July. On July 27 the Kaye E. Barker locked down in the Poe Lock and are the first three photos of this set. The next set of photos were taken on July 28. The next thirty eight photos are of the Frontenac locking down in the Poe Lock with the Tug Anglian Lady and the Algoway locking up in the MacArthur lock. This next set of thirty four were taken while on a boat tour of the locks. The first two are of the Museum Ship Valley Camp, next you will see the John J. Boland docked waiting to lock up. The boat tour then locked up and proceed to Algoma Steel in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where the Michipicoten was unloading ore. Once locked down on the Lake Huron side the Saginaw was seen heading for the MacArthur lock. Also seen on the boat tour was Purvis Marine dock where the Tug Avenger IV, Yankcanuck, and Tug Reliance were sitting.  Back on land the American Century was downbound at Mission Point. The last day at the locks was all downbound ships. The first two are of the Corps of Engineers Tug Whitefish Bay and Barge Nicolet. After those are the photos of the Edgar B. Speer pulling out of the Poe Lock. After the Speer locked down the Ojibway locked down in the Poe lock as well and cased it down to Mission Point. Next was the only boat to lock down in the MacAruther lock in this series was the Robert S. Pierson. After the Pierson the Adam E. Cornelius locked down in the Poe lock followed by the Joseph L. Block once the lock was refilled.

A trip to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, to Bay Shipbuilding a division of Fincantieri Marine Group, June 1, 2011. This trip was highlighted by the St. Clair, St. Marys Conquest-Prentiss Borwn and John J. Boland in the yard. Also in the yard was the Tug Bradshaw McKee and the Tug Leslie Foss. On the Manitowoc was the eeskay running about.
